About

We are a non-profit organization that proudly advocates for the adoption of cloud computing with the legal industry.

The LCCA is a unified voice for the legal cloud computing community. The LCCA collaborates with Bar Associations and Law Societies to define industry-leading best practices. We’re proud of the positive impact cloud computing is having on the practice of law, and we’re here to help it grow.

Our History

The Legal Cloud Computing Association was founded in 2010 by a small group of legal cloud computing companies. Since those early days — when “cloud computing” was a little-understood buzzword — the LCCA has grown to a size that is reflective of the ever-increasing role cloud computing plays in the legal space.

In 2010 and 2011 the LCCA played an instrumental role in helping guide the first ethics opinions on cloud computing. Most recently, the LCCA has announced a formal set of standards intended to help lawyers, bar associations, law societies, and cloud computing companies agree on what “reasonable care” means in a cloud computing world.
